Partners in crime pt.1

+ Era capaz de jurar que já tinha publicado aqui esta categoria dos "partners in crime", mas não consigo encontrar nenhum post. Talvez esteja perdido no meio dos posts/rascunhos, talvez nunca o tenha publicado. Enquanto investigo este mistério, aqui estão os dois últimos casais cuja sinergia se estende para além... não sei bem para além de quê, mas as imagens falam por si.

+ A primavera chegou finalmente por estes lados. Este é um dos hutongs mais adoráveis de Pequim, melhor melhor só se não estivesse cheio de estrangeiros e os preços não seguissem os padrões ocidentais... Mesmo assim, é adorável.

To bike or not to bike

+ Aparentemente, meus caros, eu sou a única pessoa neste mundo que não é louca por bicicletas. E posso afirmar com segurança que sou a única pessoa no mundo porque, meus caros, estou no outro lado do raio do mundo, e a história repete-se. Basta virem os primeiros raiozinhos de sol, toda a gente quer andar de bicicleta.
+ Eu, pessoalmente, como raparida muito pés na terra que sou (e criança muito anti-social que ficava em casa a desenhar enquanto o resto dos meninos estavam lá fora a andar de bicicleta) não gosto de actividade nenhuma que envolva os meus pés sairem do chão e o meu corpo desafiar as leis da gravidade. Para além disso, a minha coordenação motora nunca foi a melhor. Como é que eu consegui começar a andar de saltos altos é um feito que ainda hoje não deixa de me surpreender.
+ Dito isto, há uma marca de bicicletas chinesa bué da gira (a Forever) com bicicletas lindas de morrer e não sei qual delas escolher, quero-as a todas!!! :D

+ Apparently, my dears, I am the only person in the world who is not crazy about bikes.
I can say that I am the only person in the world easily, because, my dears, I am in freaking China and it is the same story once again. First sunbeams come out: everyone wants to ride a bike.
+ Myself, as the very grounded person that I am (and the very shy child who stayed home drawing while all the other kids were playing outside) don't like any activities that include my feet leaving the floor and my body defying gravity. Also, my motor coordination was never the best, I have to admit. On how I manage to wear high heels is an accomplishment I astonish myself with everytime.
+ But this time, there are no more excuses. I guess I really am buying one... not really because I feel like doing it, but because I discovered the most gorgeous chinese bike brand, and cannot wait to have one of these girls. :)

Doing illustrations (and painting my nails) in a cafe in Beijing!

+ Então, como já vos disse hoje (no Facebook) hoje tive um dia muito produtivo. Trabalhei no fim-de-semana, por isso Segunda e Terça estou "de férias". Aproveitei para ir a um café que passo todos os dias a caminho do trabalho, mesmo aqui ao lado de casa. Onde um capuccino, um bagel com salmão fumado e batatas fritas são também conhecidos como heaven!
+ Conto-vos o que estive a fazer depois... ;)

+ So as I've told you today (on Facebook) I had a very productive day. I worked on the weekend, so Monday and Tuesday are my days off. Went to a lovely small cafe that I pass everyday on the way to work for capuccino, a bagel, and fries - also known as heaven! :)
+ It was a lovely afternoon. I'll tell you about what I was doing later...

A giant amusement park for adults

+ Vão ter que me perdoar a minha ausência, mas esta cidade não é propriamente fácil no que toca a estas coisas das cibernauticas... Abrir qualquer browser demora cerca de 2.04 minutos e não é certo que o mesmo volte a reabrir numa segunda visita. Como tudo tem sido, aqui deste lado, é absolutamente à sorte!
+ Deixo-vos algumas fotografias (tiradas com o telemovel, terão que me perdoar a qualidade da imagem) para terem uma noção do quão impressionante esta cidade é - e ainda está tanto por ver! Os mercados, esses famosos mercados que fazem as delícias dos turistas, terão oportunidade de ver mais tarde, mas digo-vos desde já que não são próprios para cardíacos (e não me estou a referir apenas à quantidade de coisas que há para comprar, mas principalmente à intensidade das abordagens... bem, mas isso é para depois!)

+ You will have to forgive my absense, but this city is not exactly easy when it comes to this cyber business... Opening a browser here will take about 2.04 minutes and it is not certain that it will reopen again, in a second visit. Like

 everything seems to be, around here, it is totally random!
+ I will leave you some pictures (taken with my phone, you will have to forgive me the quality of the images) for you guys to get a glimpse of how impressive this city is - and there is still so much left to visit! The markets, those famous markets that fill the eyes of tourists, we will have the opportunity tu discuss later; I will tell you for now, it is not for the faint of heart (and I am not refering to the amount of things you would want to buy there, but mainly to the intensity with which you are approached in these places... but well, that's for later!)

Lulu goes China

+ Então, os novos começos já tinham sido anunciados, está chegada a hora de revelar exactamente o que se passa. E é oficial: vou para a China, mais exactamente para Pequim pelos próximos meses. Ainda não sei bem que rumo é que a Lulu Baldrac vai levar, mas esperam-se muitas coisas novas, ainda por descobrir nesta aventura meio louca.
+ Vou para lá trabalhar, mas também descobrir um mundo novo. Espero que gostem e que me acompanhem nesta aventura. Afinal de contas, moda em Pequim... alguém faz ideia do que se pode esperar? Nos próximos dias vou deixando aqui alguns dos blogs que descobri de meninas e meninos chineses, bem como todo um mundo de referências soltas ao mundo da moda no país... para nos irmos ambientando todas juntas (vocês, e eu, também).
+ Por agora, de volta às pilhas de roupa de inverno e verão que estão espalhadas pelo meu quarto: comecei a fazer as malas. A aventura começa já dia 20. Façam figas! :)

+ So as I had announced new beginnings, it is now time to reveal what's happening - and it's official, I am going to China. More specifically, to Beijing, where I will be living for the next few months. I'm not sure what course Lulu Baldrac will take, as everything is very new and unfamiliar to me, but I am expecting a lot of new and exciting things to come around.
+ I was offered a job there, but I am also taking on this journey to discover a whole new world. I hope you guys enjoy it and follow me on this crazy adventure. After all, fashion in Beijing... dow any one have any idea what to expect? So the next few days I will be showing you some of my favourite chinese bloggers and a whole bunch of references to the fashion world there... so we can start getting acquainted with this new culture together.
+ For now, I shall return to the castle of winter and summer clothes that has risen in my bedroom: I have started packing. The aventure starts on the 20th. Fingers crossed! :)
